Baptist Health Care values and seeks diversity within the health care field and within the organization. Diversity is the inclusion, recognition and acceptance of diverse backgrounds, new viewpoints, ideas and talents that help to ensure that leadership and staff reflect those whom they seek to serve.

The vision of Baptist Health Care is to be the best health system in
America. There are many aspects to reaching that vision. One of them
is in recognizing and addressing the diversity of employees, patients
and families of patients better than any health system in America.
Al Stubblefield
CEO, Baptist Health Care

Baptist Health Care is committed to:
Championing diversity within the organization’s leadership and actively promoting
opportunities for all within management and governance of the organization.
Ensuring that the organization, as an employer, taps the full potential of employees and
builds an environment that allows all people to feel appreciated, included and valued.
Creating an environment that effectively anticipates and responds to the needs of the
patient, the community and the employee.
To this end, Baptist Health Care will work to eliminate perceived or real barriers to diversity in operational, governance and leadership positions; treat all employees fairly regardless of race, age, religion, color, sex, disability, national origin, marital status or status as a veteran, including compensation, training and promotion throughout the organization; maintain a health care system that contributes to customer satisfaction and quality; and provide community services that meet the needs of employees, patients and customers we serve. Progress will be measured and evaluated on a regular basis.
